Leading digital transformation consultancy Storm ID has been appointed by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) as a digital and data delivery partner to work in partnership with FCDO teams to deliver a range of transformative digital and data services.
FCDO is going through a period of transformation adapting to a new finance platform and modernising its data infrastructure.
FCDO required a delivery partner with a track record of collaborating and partnering with teams in the public sector to deliver outcomes. Storm ID is providing additional capability and capacity, working in partnership with FCDO teams to support the department’s digital and data transformation, delivering a wide range of digital and technology services to meet key outcomes.
A key part of the transformation involves updating and re-engineering core systems for managing programme delivery, programme and delivery-related management information and publication of open data on programme activities. This also requires understanding and evolving the data architecture of the organisation, so that analysts and other users can make best use of the data that is available to them.
Our engagement enables FCDO to quickly flex up and down ensuring the right delivery capacity is available on demand to meet the scale of each deliverable/outcome as well as enabling FCDO.
Storm ID and FCDO colleagues are collaborating closely as part of multi-disciplinary teams to enable effective knowledge transfer to take place.
Stewart Cruickshank, Consultancy Director at Storm ID, said:
Digital technology will play an essential role for FCDO going forward and we’re delighted to be integrating with the FCDO digital, data and technology teams. Our deep technology expertise combined with our flexible delivery model makes us an ideal partner to support FCDO through an exciting period of change.
By fully embracing Agile and collaborative working we are supporting FCDO to meet goals and outcomes that will benefit users of FCDO services.
