Three former divisions within NHS National Services Scotland – Health Facilities Scotland, National Services Division and National Procurement – have appointed Storm ID to provide a strategy to consolidate and streamline their current digital estate.
The new body, Procurement, Commissioning & Facilities (PCF), provides Construction, Asset Management and Facilities, Procurement, Physical Logistics, Information Management and Specialist Clinical Service and Screening solutions for NHSScotland.
There are approximately 30 websites in the PCF web estate: National Procurement, Facilities, Screening and approximately 27 other small sites which make up varying National Managed Clinical Networks.
Storm ID will conduct a full Digital Services Audit to map the current digital estate, technologies and associated organisational roles. An organisational review will give context to the audit, assessing organisational objectives and their alignment with the current web estate. This research, paired with in-depth stakeholder consultations, will inform a digital strategy – including a digital requirements specification and road map.
The project is due for completion at the end of April 2015.
