Storm Events: Discuss Content And Design With Us This Spring

Join us on 12 April for ‘Designing Digital Content’, the third evening in our Storm Events series.

This time at Storm Events, we will be talking about how to use design principles to create meaningful and engaging digital content for users of your web services. What makes or breaks a web page? How can we ensure the content meets user needs, their motivations, and expectations?

You will get to hear from three of our specialists in the content and user experience design trenches: Rashmi Kakde, User Experience Designer; Sarah Boivin, Digital Content Consultant; and Wojtek Kutyla, Lead User Experience Designer.

We will start by exploring classic issues we encounter when aligning content and design elements on various projects, followed by detailed solutions we have come up with in our work.

Come along and join our discussion ranging from feeding user research into information architecture and content typing to the role of Lorem Ipsum and UI copy. We will end the evening with a Q&A session.

You will gain insights on:

  • How to design meaningful content
  • What makes an effective design and content combo
  • Creating user-centred content
  • Tone of voice
  • Following iterative content processes

Although the content and design relationship plays into content marketing, it won’t be the focus of our discussion. We might not even mention the word “blog”.

No preparation is necessary, but feel free to bring along questions, examples to show and discuss, or content-related problems that you’ve been trying to solve.

Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Please note that spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Bring your colleagues with you!
See you there.

When: Tuesday, 12 April 2016 from 18:30 to 20:00 (GMT)
