We’re Hiring: Web Developer, starting in the Support Team

Storm ID is looking for a Web Developer specialising in Microsoft technologies who will work for 12 months in the support team, before moving into the Web Development team. We need a resourceful and experienced web developer able to work with the latest tools and technologies on a wide variety of projects.

The Role
The role is for a web developer to spend 12 months working in the support team supporting a handful of key projects. The work will consist of a mixture of troubleshooting, bug fixing and planned upgrade work on some of our flagship accounts.
Via this work you will become well versed with our tools, technology stack and development methodology which will be ideal preparation for you to move into the web development team after a year.

You should be able to work with our core stack:

  • ASP.NET MVC 4
  • C# 4
  • NHibernate 3.2
  • SQL Server 2008 R2
  • Lucene.NET 2.9.4
  • Solr 3.4

You should be able to use our core tools:

  • Visual Studio 2010
  • NHibernate Profiler
  • ReSharper
  • dotTrace

You should bring some HTML skills:

  • HTML 5.0
  • CSS 3.0
  • JQuery 1.7

You need to know what you’re doing with these:

  • Version control (GIT)
  • Unit Tests
  • Good OO practices
  • Design patterns
  • Agile practices
