What you’ll be doing
The role is perfect for a PPC expert who wants to lead clients’ paid search programmes. Central to the role is the ability to analyse results and optimise programmes along with:
- Providing thought leadership and strategic direction on paid search campaigns, including both UK-specific and international campaigns
- A clear understanding of client marketing strategy and the role of search within it
- Managing the client briefs and expectations at all levels including responding to search briefs and formulating budgets
- Search Planning/Execution
- Developing strong relationships with clients and search networks
- Managing the team internally to ensure work exceeds client expectations
- Attending client meetings and preparing accurate and high quality reports and results
- Working with account managers & search networks to ensure that campaigns go live in a timely manner
- Ensuring all campaigns are running and tracking at all times
- Working closely with the organic search manager to ensure coherent PPC and SEO strategies are in place at all times
- Supporting account managers in day to day issues arising with client accounts
- Ensuring that status reports and campaigns summaries are up to date
- Working with other teams where relevant to ensure smooth running of day to day activities
- Communicating on a professional level both internally and externally at all times
- Preparing monthly projection and spend reports for internal finance team
Qualifications and skills required
- You need to be passionate about the online industry, and in particular search with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working within the search sector.
- You’ll be able to demonstrate leadership and ownership of at least 3 paid search clients and have a proven ability to maintain and grow a client’s business.
- A strong understanding of automated search marketing tools and software, including bid management, tracking and ROI analysis.
- Proven leadership skills and management experience demonstrated through staff development and ownership of department/agency initiatives. Proven management skills and ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation and facilitation).
- Ability to move media strategies and metrics into new areas.
- Working knowledge of offline and online display media.
- Established relationships with search networks and technology partners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
- Computer literate with high level of maths and analytical skills.
- Organised and methodical, with excellent time management skills.
